Cookie Disclaimer
A “cookie” is a small piece of information (a text file) placed and stored on your local system so it can later be read back from that system. Use of cookies is standard internet practice and a convenient technique for having the browser remember specific information about a user for future use. Cookies may be categorized as “session” or “persistent” cookies. “Session” cookies are temporary cookies that are used to maintain context or “state” between otherwise stateless transactions (e.g., to maintain a “shopping cart” of goods selected during a single logical session at a site) and are deleted at the end of the session in which they are created. “Persistent” cookies remain over time and can be used for a variety of purposes, including to track a user’s access over time and across websites, or to establish user preferences. We use session cookies that remain active only until you close your browser. Some portions of Taconic’s websites also use persistent cookies, i.e., tokens that pass information back and forth from your machine to our server and remain after you close your browser. Your browser may be customized to reject cookies, to only accept or reject cookies by your intervention, or to delete cookies. Rejecting and/or removing cookies may lead to loss of functionality on our pages.
